Uncle Pete’s: A New American Dining Experience in Wheeling, WV

I went with my partner and her daughter. Seated quickly got drinks and menus everything was clean. Great service over all. I had the open faced roast beef and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were homemade and good and the roast beef was an insanely generous portion. My partner had the Georgia Reuben and I had a bite and was yummy. We also shared fried zucchini never seen it shaved paper thin and fried but great. Also the stuffed banana peppers which while good lit my mouth on fire. Also side note the snickers cheesecake might be the best thing ever almost good enough to make up for the 8 dollar price tag. Overall good value for money will.be back.

What a hidden Gem! Our waitress was fantastic, the food was fabulous. Pictured is appetizers, chicken strips and deep fried mashed potatoes with onion. Which just has a hint of onion flavor. Both crunchy and yummy! Dinners pictured are stuffed fish (cod stuffed with crab meat), full rack of ribs which are better than Rudy's in Springfield, Ohio, great smoky flavor and just the right amount of sweet barbecue and Porterhouse sub with mushrooms. Also Fries with bacon and cheese. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and Quant with room for waiting, which we didn't and games for the kids to enjoy. The restrooms are spacious with 3 separate large stall rooms inside the facility. Bar seating with plenty of room to eat and chat. The floor plan leaves ample space between tables so you aren't sitting on top of your neighbors. Great food and very nice atmosphere for date night, family gatherings or friends night out. Absolutely recommend this hidden gem! July 7, 2022 The food is still fabulous and the service superb. I don't usually mention restrooms but theirs are super clean and look like they should be in a magazine. Rich looking oak double sink in the main area and each "stall" is it's own room with individual sinks and 2 with chairs.

You will never find Uncle Petes without GPS, but every local person knows that Uncle Petes sets the bar for Quality and Class! I will help you find Uncle Petes,,, follow signs around Elm Grove,WV for the I470 Ball Fields n Skate Park and you will drive right to Uncle Petes. The outer shell( metal building) hides the nicest Fancy dining room/ bar in the Tri State area. Hostess to waitresses features Great service,Cleanliness, an extensive menu with smoker specialties ,salads,deserts,refreshing beverages and always a TV nearby to watch Mountaineers, Pirates n Steelers.

Did take away of the Ruben sandwich & Mac & cheese! Ruben was amazing! Lean meat, coleslaw & an extra tangy dressing on toasted rye..spot on. Mac & cheese was just ok. Friendly staff person & quick on order. @kaleb_and_lucas_adventures

What looks like a metal warehouse on the outside is a large, warm, comfortable feeling restaurant. The outside and the inside are so diametrically opposed that it’s a little disorienting that it’s so nice inside, completely unexpected. The food tasted great, and was reasonably priced. The ribs and wings from the smoker are amazing.

Went during lunch hours during a week day. It was pretty busy. Like everywhere else, it was low staffed, but our waitress did a great job. Just took some time to place order and pay. Food came out fairly quickly. Very nice atmosphere ! Spacious booths.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Over all appearance was clean well maintained. Was reasonably priced. We on Valentine's Day was busy but only had about a 20 minute wait. A bit off the beaten path but well worth funding.
